Meta Wearables team seeks an Engineer with system design skills and consumer electronics experience to develop and integrate solutions in future Meta products.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate closely with cross functional teams and external partners to push the boundaries of technologies and deliver best-in-class hardware solutionsCollaborate with vendor resources to leverage their team and maximize the focus of internal resources on adding value to and differentiating our productGenerate analytical models of subsystems and validate them through design of experiments and lab testing
Minimum QualificationsBS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or practical equivalent work experience2+ years of relevant industry experience or similarExpertise in advanced technologies, focused on consumer electronics products
Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated experience in LEDs, displays, image quality metrics, opto-electrical metrology and characterization. Can communicate underlying physicsExperience performing measurements and interpreting data from opto-electrical characterization/testing such as LIV, spectroscopy, imaging, radiometric/photometricExperience with designing and building custom test or characterization setups e.g. opto–electrical bench builds, linear/rotational actuators, including CAD design softwareExperience in microelectronic design & build, circuit modelling (e.g. SPICE), controllers, communications protocols e.g. (SPI, PIF, MIPI), PCB design (i.e. Altium)Experience in scripting or test automation, such as instrument control, data collection and analysis using Python, C/C++, Matlab or LabViewExperience with statistical data analysis software e.g. JMP, MinitabKnowledge of device fabrication and processing techniques for III/V and/or optoelectronic devices, and advanced metrology and characterizations techniquesFamiliarity with reliability, and/or failure analysis of optoelectronic devices
