Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost and contract management from pre-construction through to final account.
The successful candidate will have a degree-qualified background in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or related discipline, with 3+ years' experience in a QS role, ideally with a main contractor. They will possess strong commercial and contractual awareness, excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills, and proficiency with relevant software.
In this challenging and rewarding role, you will work closely with project teams to monitor financial performance and risks. You will also be responsible for preparing, managing and reporting on project budgets and costs, overseeing subcontractor packages and procurement, supporting contract negotiations and change management, and ensuring accurate valuations, progress claims and final accounts.
Key Requirements
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or related discipline
* 3+ years' experience in a QS role, ideally with a main contractor
* Strong commercial and contractual awareness
* Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills
* Proficiency with relevant software (e.g. Excel, Buildsoft, CostX, or similar)
