They are specifically seeking an individual with a proven track record of 3+ years' experience within an engineering or construction company. This is a crucial role where you'll be instrumental in managing daily financial operations, ensuring impeccable accuracy, and providing essential support to key projects that drive the company's success. Responsibilities: Processing accounts payable and receivable, including matching invoices to purchase orders and preparing payment runs Performing daily and monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies Accurately inputting and updating financial data, ensuring all records are comprehensive and audit-ready Supporting month-end procedures, including preparing accruals, prepayments, and journal entries Processing employee expenses and ensuring compliance with company policies Communicating effectively with suppliers and clients to resolve billing queries and ensure timely payments Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and contributing to general finance administration Looking For: A minimum of 3 years' experience as an Accounts Assistant, with a strong preference for candidates from the engineering or construction sectors A relevant accounting qualification (e.g., AAT, IATI, or equivalent) or working towards same Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and strong Excel skills Exceptional accuracy and a keen eye for detail Excellent time management, organisational, and communication skills A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving and reputable engineering firm that values precision, teamwork, and employee development.
