Job Title: Junior EHS Advisor
Our company undertakes projects throughout Ireland in large-scale construction. They have successfully completed projects across various sectors, including residential development.
As a Junior EHS Advisor, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and implementing the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Management system to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Developing, implementing, and managing EHS policies and procedures.
* Providing advice, guidance, and instruction on health and safety matters to management, safety representatives, and employees.
* Ensuring overall compliance with environmental, health, and safety statutory provisions and legislation.
* Conducting regular inspections and site audits to identify areas for improvement.
* Reporting findings to senior company management and following up to ensure actions are taken immediately.
* Maintaining records of incidents, accidents, and near misses, and ensuring that lessons learned are communicated effectively.
* Promoting a healthy and incident-free workplace culture within the organization.
To be successful in this role, you should have a relevant third-level qualification in Environmental, Health, and Safety, as well as 1+ years of experience working on large-scale construction projects. You should also possess excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
In addition, you should be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and exhibit initiative.
