As a Site Reliability Engineer III - Application Support at JPMorgan Chase within the Transfer Agency team, you will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
1. Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
2. Create secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
3. Produce architecture and design artifacts forplex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
4. Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
5. Identify hidden problems and patterns in data proactively
6. Use insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
7. Contribute to software engineeringmunities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
8. Formal training or certification on relevant job skill concepts and proficient applied experience
9. Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
10. Proficient in coding in one or more languages such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, and .Net
11. Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
12. Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
13. Software and infrastructure engineering skills to run, maintain and improve service / product against established Service Level Objectives: availability, performance, change management, capacity management and improvement of monitoring and diagnostic platforms.
14. Hands on experience with production support and SRE Managing and troubleshooting production issues and incidents
15. SRE mindset to identify and reduce TOIL using effective automation
16. Intermediate troubleshooting skills using Linux, Windows and AWS Platforms
17. Knowledge of one or more production monitoring tools (Geneos, Cloudwatch, Grafana, Dynatrace etc.)
18. Effective verbal and writtenmunication skills
