Our Client, an Educational Institution is looking to hire an Administrative Assistant on a temporary Full Time for 3 months.
Role Summary:
The postholder reports to the Programme Co-ordinator of the modular programme in Science and Technology Studies whose work connects with a wide range of the clients staff, tutors, adult students, public and private agencies and the public.
Role Responsibilities:
·Answering e-mail and telephone enquiries, dealing with general programme recruitment queries
·Managing the application, admission and registration process for students in association with the relevant university offices
·Acting as a liaison with the HEA on the Springboard scheme in terms of notification of applications and any HEA correspondence
·Assisting with programme orientation and the distribution of course materials to students
·Assisting the programme co-ordinator in updating of online programme information using the on-line learning system “Canvas”
·Planning and co-ordination of examinations: liaising with tutors and invigilators, circulating exam scripts and student lists to programme co-ordinator and invigilator’s
·Collation and analysis of student feedback
·Photocopying, printing and general document management
·Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the designated supervisor at peak periods within the Adult Education academic year.
Skills Required:
·The successful applicant will have excellent inter-personal and communication skills
·Must be able to integrate as a member of a busy office, be committed to a team approach and to quality in the delivery of all aspects of his/her assigned duties
·Must be self-motivated capable of working on his/her own initiative and multitask
·Must be well organised and flexible, capable of prioritising and working to tight deadlines and responding to urgent requests
·A proven record of excellent organisational and administrative skill
