Store Manager Role Overview
Social networks and platforms are becoming increasingly important for individuals to connect with others. This role focuses on managing a store, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.
The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring that it runs efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have/be:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a management position;
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word);
* Experience balancing cash/tills;
* Excellent communication skills;
* Good delegation skills;
* Highly driven with a strong work ethic;
* An understanding of how to achieve key performance indicators and targets;
* Commerciality and brand awareness;
* Passion for grocery retail;
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment.
Main responsibilities include actively living the company's brand values, setting and achieving sales targets, implementing planograms, merchandising and presenting the store to the highest standard, and leading by example while encouraging teamwork and a positive attitude.
This role involves developing and promoting good communication between employees and management, supporting the Store Manager in employee development and training, managing employee performance, dealing with customer queries efficiently and professionally, understanding achieving margins in all departments, engaging with new initiatives, and embracing new ways of working.
