You will be responsible for guest relations and activities ensuring that you have an excellent knowledge of the Armada Hotel, surrounding area and visitor attractions. You will be a point of contact for guests and their queries. You will contribute positively to the smooth and efficient running of hotel departments.
* To encourage teamwork by providing a good working relationship between departments.
* To deal with any customer complaints in a professional manner and to notify management of these.
* Have excellent knowledge of guest rooms, locations, amenities, features and all other services offered by the hotel.
* Answer phones according to the standards of proper etiquette and within three rings.
* To attend all training courses/meetings as notified to you by management.
* To keep pantry fully stocked i.e. food items, packaging, bags, etc
* To provide History Walks on the Armada for hotel guests and staff as required.
* Show arrivals booked into Suites to the room.
* Assist with luggage/porterage
* Assist with Wedding couples arriving with items eg cakes
* Meet and Greet VIP guests
* Direct customers to the various outlets and ensure we capture as many sales as possible during peak times.
* Sale (for commission) and promotion of local activities.
* Ensure reception and outside areas are kept clean and tidy to the required standards.
* Work with Front Office & housekeeping to oversee all arrival amenities and welcome notes to be in allocated rooms by check in times (return guests/anniversary's etc.)
* Make sure outside games area is presentable/music and outside signage to be displayed at appropriate times.
* Promoting positive feedback from guests on TripAdvisor.
* To have excellent knowledge of the Armada, the surrounding area and local visitor attractions. To help with guest queries and provide sale of tickets for visitor attractions.
* Promotion and sale of Armada products. Promotion of all food and beverage outlets.
* Participate / work with Spanish Point Community Group.
* To provide bedroom show rounds to any walk in enquiries.
* Attend induction and give history of area and Atlantic/ Armada Hotel to staff.
* To look after wedding guests and families on the day after a wedding.
* T o assist the Weddings department with show arounds as needed.
* To ensure adequate supply of kiddie toys eg buckets and spades for guest use.
* To participate with Staff Wellness Programme, attend Wellness Team meetings and to promote Wellness activities.
* Cover set breaks for Front Desk staff daily if needed
* Protect guest and associate security by never revealing any personal information, room numbers, addresses, telephone numbers etc. unless authorised by a manager.
* To report and where possible take action on incidents, accidents or damage.
* To comply with all company policy.
* In quiet season to assist with any projects/seasonal projects in the hotel
