Positive Behaviour Support Specialist Role
An Cuan is a regional support service for individuals with intellectual disabilities who exhibit behaviours of concern.
Our team works closely with individuals, their families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective support plans that enhance quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop strategies and provide support to expand opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism who exhibit challenging behaviours.
* Implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans, understanding assessment, implementation, and evaluation procedures.
* Negotiate and collaborate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements:
* A relevant third-level qualification in Positive Behaviour Supports, Applied Behaviour Analysis, or a related field (preferably at Master's degree level).
* Minimum 3 years' experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism who exhibit behaviours of concern.
* Professional registration or eligibility on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by CORU.
Additional skills include problem-solving, facilitation, negotiation, and excellent interpersonal skills, planning and organisational skills, and good IT skills are essential.
