Assistant Project Manager: Water Network Rehabilitation
A challenging opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join a dynamic team responsible for the delivery of clean water main projects and network rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, particularly in report writing and client liaison.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project and Budget Management: Oversee the day-to-day planning, design progress, and construction management of water network projects, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
* Team Leadership: Manage project teams to ensure the successful delivery of clean water main projects and network rehabilitation.
* Lifecycle Representation: Represent the employer throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to completion.
* Feasibility and Planning: Produce feasibility studies, option appraisals, cost plans, and business cases.
* Collaborative Design: Work with other design team members in an integrated approach.
* Procurement Management: Prepare contract documents, drawings, and specifications for procurement.
* Construction Monitoring: Manage project progress against the program, monitor costs, and ensure quality assurance during the construction phase.
Key Attributes and Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a third-level qualification in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering, a minimum of 3 years' experience in civil engineering, with a preference for experience in the water or wastewater sector. Excellent communication skills, particularly in report writing and client liaison, are essential. A working knowledge of AutoCAD is advantageous.
