Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 within UCD School of English, Drama & Film (x2).
The successful candidates will work on the ERC European Migrants in the British Imagination Project: Victorian and Neo-Victorian Culture (VICTEUR, Grant Agreement No ) under the direction of Professor Gerardine Meaney.
The primary purpose of this post is to assist the PI and project team in completion of WP4 'Adaptation as Cultural Memory', focusing on twenty first century material.
The key deliverables for this postdoctoral post will be:
1. preparation of contemporary literary, TV and film texts as identified by the project team for social network analysis;
2. assist in visualisations of the networks;
3. collaborate with the project team in producing at least one article/book chapter on this material focussing on the social network positioning of migrants and migrant groups in contemporary cultural representations;
4. assist in all relevant education and public engagement activities.
PD1 Salary: €46,305 - €52,863 per annum Appointment on the above range will be dependent on qualifications and experience Closing date: 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on 15/12/2025.
