Job Description
Paul O’Neill Architects are offering a structured six‑month placement for an Architectural Drafter / BIM Assistant Technician. The placement will develop skills in Building Information Modelling (BIM) and architectural drawing production using Autodesk Revit.
Role Description
Model buildings and prepare architectural drawings for residential and commercial projects.
Develop building models from survey information and point‑cloud data, prepare plans, elevations, sections, and organise drawing sheets.
Research building materials and BIM content, and apply architectural drawing standards and workflows.
Work alongside the design team and receive mentoring and structured guidance.
Participate in weekly mentoring sessions and structured training covering Autodesk Revit fundamentals, CPD – Building Technology & Materials, Architectural Drawing Standards, CPD – Fire Safety & Regulatory Awareness, and BD CPD – Sustainability & Environmental Performance.
Assist with preparation of planning drawing packages, coordinate model updates for project revisions, and manage project file organisation.
