About Your New Job as a Legal Administrator Manage Law Firm Billing: Ensure timely payments and manage the billing processes for external law firms.
Budget and Expenditure Management: Review legal budgets, prepare forecasts, and support the management of significant legal expenditure.
Procurement Support: Assist with tendering processes, liaise with procurement colleagues, and administer new contracts for legal services.
Cost Recovery and Claims Management: Assist in the recovery of legal cost awards and manage any costs claims against the organisation.
Financial Queries and Liaison: Respond to financial queries and liaise with financial controllers or relationship contacts within law firms.
Expense Processing: Claim and process expenses in line with organisational policies.
Project Support: Provide administrative support for various projects.
Organise Meetings and Training: Coordinate meetings, training sessions, and other divisional activities as required.
General Administrative Duties: Support the effective running of the Legal Services Division with various administrative tasks.
What Skills You Need as legal Administrator Essential Criteria: Previous experience in a legal administrative role, either in a corporate or public sector setting.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Fully proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desirable Criteria: Diploma or degree in legal studies, public administration, business administration, or related discipline.
Experience in a public sector environment.
Whats on Offer Permanent Position: Full-time role with 35 hours per week.
Annual Leave: 23 days per annum.
Hybrid Working: Combine home and office working with our client's current policy of 2 days in the office.
Competitive Salary: Position graded at the Executive Officer scale, with successful candidates appointed at the first point of the scale.
