About the Role
As a Project Engineer, you will lead the delivery of mechanical engineering design and coordination on multiple projects. This involves representing the business at design and client meetings, overseeing project delivery from design through construction, and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
You will coordinate mechanical designs with other disciplines and external consultants, manage project resourcing, budgets, and schedules, and mentor junior engineers to develop the team's technical capability. Upholding company standards, quality assurance, and client satisfaction are also essential aspects of this role.
The ideal candidate will bring a degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline) and 5-10 years of experience in mechanical building services design. Proven background in delivering commercial office projects is required, along with a strong understanding of relevant Standards and RIBA design stages.
Experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams and managing budgets is necessary, as well as excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills. Initiative, technical confidence, and the ability to work autonomously are also key attributes for success in this role.
While familiarity with electrical, fire protection, and public health systems is advantageous, it is not essential. However, the candidate should be able to hit the ground running and contribute to the team's success from day one.
