10 Months, Specific Purpose, Full-Time Post Position Summary The UCC Cancer Trials Group is looking for a Research Support Officer to support the delivery of a study called 'Greening a Chemotherapy Day Ward' funded by SPARK Award at Cancer Trials Cork, Cork University Hospital.
The project involves the assessment of sustainable chemotherapy prescribing on a chemotherapy day ward unit.
The aim of the study is to reduce the climate impact of chemotherapy prescribing through integration of a sustainable prescribing dashboard developed at CUH/UCC Cancer Centre.
The post holder will carry out a one-month period of assessment of prescribing through chemotherapy audits, plastic waste calculation using a tool developed by collaborators at the University of Manchester, assessment of lifestyle medicine prescriptions will be followed by a 3-month patient partner assisted implementation process whereby sustainable prescribing is implemented.
This will be followed by reaudit for prescribing patterns and plastic waste consumption.
