A leading construction firm is seeking an experienced
Design Manager
to join its team for major apartment development based in Cork City.
This is a permanent role offering strong career development opportunities and the chance to work on high-profile commercial, residential, and industrial developments.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with site teams to manage project setup, focusing on coordination of architectural and engineering information
Coordinate utilities and services between mechanical/electrical engineers and utility providers
Prepare and maintain schedules of information requirements in line with contract programmes, and monitor progress
Manage the technical submittal process for all project components, including tracking and reporting status against programme timelines
Maintain procurement tracking schedules based on approved submittals and cost approvals
Respond promptly to project queries and ensure proper documentation and resolution
Support the project team in identifying and resolving design-related challenges
Requirements
10+ years' experience as a Design Manager on commercial, residential and apartment projects
Relevant third-level qualification in Engineering or Architecture
Experience working with a main contractor is desirable
Strong attention to detail and excellent planning and organizational skills
Ability to manage workload independently and meet tight deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
