Financial Operations Leader
We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading day-to-day financial operations, supporting strategic planning, and collaborating with site and office teams across departments.
About the Role
* Oversee financial ledger management, including supplier and subcontractor accounts
* Prepare monthly financial statements: accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, intercompany charges
* Manage Value Added Tax (VAT), Pay As You Earn (PAYE), and Return of Charges (RCT) returns
* Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and tax authorities
* Support project costing, budgeting, and forecasting, including cash flow management
* Assist with year-end processes: profit and loss statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement
* Ensure accuracy of financial records and resolve discrepancies
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with finance and non-finance teams to ensure alignment and effective communication
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices
* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and partners
Requirements
* Proven experience in financial operations leadership, preferably in a construction or related industry
* Strong technical skills, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
* Professional certifications, such as CPA or ACCA, a plus
