Job Description: Assistant Restaurant and Bar Manager
The Montenotte, an independent luxury hotel in Cork, is seeking an Assistant Restaurant and Bar Manager to join our #MPeople team. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of our Food & Beverage outlets, maintaining high standards of service, and supporting our team in delivering a luxurious guest experience.
Main Responsibilities
1. Manage the daily operations of the assigned Food & Beverage outlets efficiently.
2. Assist other Food & Beverage outlets as required.
3. Manage reservations and liaise with relevant departments for special requests.
4. Ensure the hotel consistently delivers the highest standards of luxury service.
5. Conduct departmental audits to ensure service consistency.
6. Communicate and embed the hotel’s Vision, Mission, and Values into daily activities.
7. Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of service areas (front and back of house).
8. Control the ambiance of departments, including lighting, music, and temperature.
9. Report defective materials and equipment promptly.
10. Implement new initiatives within agreed timeframes.
11. Set and achieve personal objectives annually.
12. Attend meetings and ensure management presence during peak service times.
13. Maintain high levels of security throughout the hotel.
