GeneralJob Description And Person SpecificationJob Title: Capital Management SpecialistDivision: FinanceReports To: Head of Capital ManagementKey Relationships: Wider finance team, internal and outsourced investment providers, banks, outsource service providers, external auditors, senior management, actuarial/capital modelling team, risk, managing agents, rating agencies.Job Summary: Be a key member of the Capital Management Team, including supporting team members, with a focus on customer service to provide best in class service.Lead team development, appraisal and objective setting. Identify development areas and provide training support.Provide support to the Head of Capital Management and Capital Management team for managing certain group finance activities with a focus on capital/debt management.Production and review of Group capital surplus forecast and capital papers for group and other entities.Work closely with capital modelling teams to develop in-depth understanding of capital requirement setting/forecasting processes.Production of analysis and reports to facilitate with capital management decisions at Exec and Board level.Manage and review certain group and syndicate capital management activitiesResponsible for smooth running of capital management reporting and day to day operations.Responsible for external stakeholder management which includes members agents, credit rating agencies and corporate member outsourced service providers.Provide support to the Head of Capital Management and lead in activities relating to projects the Capital Management team and/or other ad-hoc requests as and when required.Maintain, document, adhere, review and implement internal controls, process and policy relevant to the Capital Management team. Identify, propose and deliver process and control enhancements to ensure continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesCapital ManagementWork closely with the Head of Capital Management for production and review of group capital forecast, analysis for the reporting of the group (and entities) capital position as inputs into the CFO and Board reports.Support the Head of Capital Management with the preparation of papers for board meetings, audit committees and ad hoc boards.Prepare and present strategic papers and recommendations to senior management and board-level committees, ensuring clarity, alignment, and informed decision-making.Oversee fungibility and local entity risk appetites, ensuring compliance with local and group risk appetite statements.Engage with local entity management teams to align capital planning and fungibility assessments with group-level strategy and risk appetite.Drive continuous improvement in capital reporting, governance, and analytics.Monitor and manage capital adequacy, including stress testing and scenario analysis.Work closely with Head of Capital Management with capital raising initiatives and financing activities when required.Review information and analysis for submission to credit rating agencies to maintain the corporate ratings; assist in preparation of materials for annual meeting with agencies.Work closely with external and internal audit. Managing the delivery of the CAS list in conjunction with ad hoc query resolution.Review and manage the Coming Into Line process and ensure FAL funding meeting Lloyd's requirements and timeline.Responsible for ensuring the maintenance of the debt and credit facility programmes.
