Inpatient and Post-Operative Physiotherapist - UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic, Dublin

Overview of role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic's Inpatient Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Service. The candidate will report to the Lead IPOP Physiotherapist.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
To deliver a high quality clinical service of inpatient and post-operative outpatient physiotherapy as part of the IPOP team.
To personally deliver ward based inpatient physiotherapy and pre-operative and post-operative outpatient physiotherapy.
To work a shift pattern as directed by the Lead IPOP Physiotherapist across a seven-day service.
To be competent with the fitting of boots, braces etc. as the service demands.
To ensure appropriate record keeping and electronic patient record maintenance as per JCI standards outlined.
To follow all health and safety guidelines with colleagues and patients.
To ensure patient dignity at all times.
To work to standards laid out in ongoing protocols and evidence based management.
To aid the IPOP team and Lead IPOP Physiotherapist in the development of the IPOP Service.
To contribute to CPD within the IPOP team.
To attend and contribute to weekly CPD meeting within the sports medicine department as shift allows.
To complete stream orientated and department-based tasks as directed by the IPOP Lead.
To work to retain patients post-operatively to complete the rehabilitation process.
Qualifications & Experience:
The candidate must possess the following:
1. BSc (Hons) Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy
2. Membership with CORU
