Job Description:
* This is a key role within our maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities.
* The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance and be able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine and non-routine mechanical tasks as delegated by the Maintenance Manager.
* Carry out all work safely and efficiently, maintaining good relations with suppliers, contractors, customers, and fellow employees.
* Execute site preventive maintenance routines and ensure that all relevant information is passed to the next maintenance shift.
* Maintain appropriate records and repair equipment malfunctions while identifying and resolving reoccurring downtime/inefficient operational issues.
* Assist in developing maintenance procedures and equipment files.
* Assist with generation, review, and revision of maintenance documentation as necessary.
* Select appropriate spare parts to ensure maximum availability of equipment.
* Operate utilities and equipment safely and efficiently, whilst maximizing uptime.
* Collect and analyse equipment data to report on equipment performance.
* Assist with rolling shutdown preparation and execution.
* Train other staff in department procedures and techniques, as required.
* Troubleshoot, maintain, and support Utility and Manufacturing equipment to enable the manufacture of quality products.
Requirements:
* The ideal candidate must possess a qualified fitter qualification with a recognised apprenticeship.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience post apprentice experience within a similar role.
* Possess demonstrable specialised technical skill across mechanical areas including Pump repairs, Valve repairs, Filter replacements, Pipe fabrication, and General mechanical fabrication.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
