Heritage Forum Participation Actively participate as a member of the County Heritage Forum.
Frontline Archive Services Oversee the day-to-day operations of public-facing archive services (once operational), including: Professionalarchivistdutiessuchassurveying,processing,andlistingofficial and private collections.
Premises maintenance and storage environment management Disaster preparedness planning for all stakeholders.
Coordination of collection transfers with colleagues.
Conservation and Digitisation Assess and select archives for priority conservation and digitisation.
Community Engagement and Promotion Plan,organise,andparticipateinprogrammes,exhibitions,events,andactivities.
Promote public engagement with archival holdings, local history, and heritage.
Coordinate with communities to curate events as part of the annual National Heritage Week.
Other Duties Undertake additional duties of a similar nature and responsibility as required or assigned.

Salary /Wages Entry point to a salary / wages scale will be determined in accordance with Circulars issued by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.

PersonswhobecomepensionableofficerswhoareliabletopaytheClassArateofPRSI contribution will be required, in respect of their superannuation contribution, to contribute to the local authority as follows: 1.5%oftheirpensionableremuneration plus 3.5%ofnetpensionableremuneration (i.e. pensionable remuneration less twice the annual rate of social insurance old age contributory pension payable at the maximum rate to a person with no adult dependent or qualified children).
Persons who become pensionable officers who are liable to pay the Class D rate of PRSI contribution will be required, in respect of their superannuation contribution, to contribute to the local authority at the rate of 5% of their pensionable remuneration.
The provisions of the Spouses and Childrens / Widows & Orphans Contributory Pension Scheme will continue to apply.
