Youth New Ross CLG (YNR) is a registered charity and was founded in 1994 by a group of dedicated professionals for the benefit of young people, and their families in New Ross and the surrounding area. Today, YNR has grown to employ over 20 staff and volunteers and works with children and families across South Co. Wexford. We receive funding from a variety of statutory sources and comply with the Charities Regulator.
About the Role:
YNR are recruiting an Accounts Technician to join their vibrant team.
Key tasks will include:
* preparing quarterly Management Accounts
* Financial reports for monthly Board of Trustees meetings
* Managing balances and breakdowns of various budgets
* Bank reconciliations
* Financial compliance in terms of procedures and governance
* Revenue Commissioners – payments & compliance
* Understanding & setting up pension Auto-enrolment when it comes into play
* Understanding of the grants / funding model for Irish Charities
* Working knowledge of, or willingness to train on SORP and Charities Regulator financial compliance
* Competent and confident in preparing for audits internal and external
* Will understand Financial Controls, ensuring proper procedures are in place and adhered to
* Financial Risk Management
* Supporting the CEO in terms of financial compliance
* Working knowledge of Sage Accounting
* Preparing projections and variance reports

The Person
It is essential that the person is able to work in a sensitive environment and used to working in a discreet and confidential manner.
The right person will be self-motivating, have excellent time management skills, be able to prioritise tasks, retrieve information from others and communicate well with a wide range of professional stakeholders.

You will be reporting to the CEO with whom you will work closely on budgets and planning. You will be capable of communicating potential opportunities and risks to the organisation and propose appropriate solutions.
Qualifications and Experience for the Role
* Fully qualified Accounts Technician
* Proven financial administration/accounts experience - minimum 2 years
* Understanding and/or experience in Complex Charity Compliance (Charities Regulator)
* Strong computer and analytical skills and proficiency in using Microsoft and Sage accounting.
* Payroll experience desirable
* Effective communicator in both verbal and written communications.
* Structured, analytical, systematic, and independent way of working.
* Ability to prioritise parallel tasks, identify potential risk and roadblocks and initiate appropriate counter measures
* Capable of overseeing audit processes (external auditors)
Salary: €18K for 2.5 days with 18 hours deliverable weekly
Location: YNR, The Bullawn, New Ross, Co. Wexford
Annual Leave: 8% of hours worked
