SummaryOur client, a biopharmaceutical company located in West Cork, is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to part of the multidiscipline project engineering team on site. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects, from conceptual stage through to detailed design, commissioning and qualification. The ideal candidate will have design experience in the Pharmaceutical/ Biotechnology industry.ResponsibilitiesProcess calculations and development of PFDs and P&IDs (LM & SM)Preparation of specifications for process equipmentInterface with supplier’s engineers to prepare technical bid analysis and recommendationsDesign of process equipment, P&IDs, material & personnel flows, process utilities, waste streamsClient liaison, attendance at project meetings etcDesign support and input to the Project / Construction teamGeneration, ownership and update of process-specific documents including specifications for all project stages (design, construction, C&Q, start-up, operation & maintenance)Responsible for the process safety aspects of project, including compliance with ATEX, PED and other relevant directivesParticipation in Process Hazard Assessments/HAZOP studiesApproval and execution of C&Q documentationQualifications & ExperienceDegree in Chemical or Process EngineeringIdeally a chartered engineer or progressing towards chartershipCompletion of Design Risk AssessmentsParticipation in Technical and Safety reviewsInterfacing with client design team/end usersOrganised and adaptable with a flexible approach to Process/Project EngineeringAt least 10 years design experience in the Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical sectorsAbility to work on own initiativeGood interpersonal and communication skills
