We are a fast-growing plastics recycling company located in Co. Meath, Ireland, with a growing workforce of 50 people. Specialising in converting waste PET plastic materials using state-of-the-art recycling technology, we are a market leader in providing circular solutions in the plastics industry in Europe.
We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team. Reporting to the CEO, the Financial Controller has overall responsibility and control of the Organisation's financial function to include financial reporting, budget preparation, variance analysis, budget updates, general accounting, and inventory and fixed asset accounting.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsibility for the financial management of the organization and the company's finance function
* As a member of the senior management team, participate in the monthly Business Review and annual Management Review meetings
* Prepare annuals budgets (liaising with different departments)
* Cashflow forecasting, updating and maintaining
* Management of the company's working capital facilities
* Liaise with private equity firms, financers and consultants, analyzing requests for financial information and determining appropriate responses
* General ledger/accounts and reconciliation support
* Preparation of the monthly management accounts and other reporting where required
* Play a key role in maintaining the company's ERP system – setting up the financial systems and processes
* Completing Statutory Returns, Vies, PAYE/PRSI, Vat and Intrastat returns
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Oversee processing of fortnightly payroll
* Cost control and cost management of plant operations
* Identify and drive process/system improvements
* Financial control of new Novelplast projects
* Liaising with financial institutions and other finance bodies on project financing or any refinancing requirements or grants
* Complete monthly variance analysis of department budgeted and actual spending
* Preparation of year end accounts and liaising with external accountants and auditors in relation to same, attending AGM
* Preparation of Quarterly Board Pack for BoD meetings and attendance
Experience Required
* 5+ years experience in a similar role
* Manufacturing experience advantageous
* Systems experience desirable (Netsuite, Collsoft, Softworks)
* Professional Accountancy qualification or degree in Accounting required
