Your new company
As Marketing Assistant, you will join the National Museum of Ireland, which is known as one of Ireland's leading museum institutions, with a strong emphasis on national and some international archaeology, Irish history, Irish art, culture, and natural history. Your new office is located in Dublin City (Collins Barracks) and is accessible via public transport. The position will entail travelling to other sites of the National Museum of Ireland as required on occasion. Your new company requires you to join their team on a 6-month assignment.
Your new role
As Marketing Assistant, you will assist in the management, development and implementation of marketing programmes. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
* Advertising plans, media plans, promotional literature requirements
* Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns for exhibitions, events, and educational programs.
* Assist the digital marketing team.
* Public relations plans - targeting national and regional media, weekly listings and features in local, regional and national media and photo opportunities where possible
* Invoice management and purchase order number processing
* Networking with other service providers, other relevant organisations and cultural institutions
* Liaise with other Museum personnel, particularly the Education & Outreach Department, Design and Photography Department, Curators and Facilities Departments
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all platforms.
* Providing administrative support to the Marketing Team
* Liaise with those in the tourism industry
* Monitor brochure stock levels in the Dublin Sites, including ordering reprints as necessary, e.g. floor plans, generic marketing collateral

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have relevant experience in a similar role in marketing, budget management, public relations and brand management. A third level qualification in marketing, arts or business is desirable.
Excellent communication, IT and organisational skills with the ability to multitask and meet project deadlines is required. Creative thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work as part of a team and using your own initiative is essential.
Knowledge of digital marketing platforms, marketing theory and practice and/or market research processes is desirable.
