Lead Systems Engineer Role
We are currently seeking a seasoned Lead Systems Engineer to join our team in Galway.
About the Role
This is a critical position that requires a highly skilled individual to lead and manage the planning, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive Factory Systems Infrastructure.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting existing Automation infrastructure for optimal performance and minimizing downtime, collaborating with the IT Group, Application Group, and External Technical Resources to provide comprehensive support of all Automation and Information Systems and Technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
* Proactively managing and supporting existing Automation infrastructure for optimal performance and minimized downtime
* Collaborating with the IT Group, Application Group, and External Technical Resources to provide comprehensive support of all Automation and Information Systems and Technologies
* Providing final third-level support on all technical issues
* Providing solutions that implement industry best practices to deliver improved productivity and efficiency throughout the organization
* Installing and deploying systems, software, and peripherals as required, liaising with external vendors and service contractors as appropriate
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering and 3+ years' relevant experience. Essential experience includes in-line vision systems, barcode systems, network topology, PC application software, systematic troubleshooting/problem-solving skills, TCP/IP, Wide Area Network architectures, and Medical Device AND/OR Automation experience.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate excellent project management and time management skills, excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and experience creating CAPA, FMEA, SOPs, Control Plans, and performing validation (FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ). Software development and validation experience is also desirable.
You will also need to possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and strong report writing and data analytical capabilities.
