The role supports commercial decision-making, strategic development, and maintaining a robust governance and control framework across the residential business.This is an exciting and impactful opportunity to work in a dynamic, commercial, and customer-focused team at a transformative time in Electric Ireland’s evolution—where sustainability, innovation, and customer empowerment are at the heart of the business.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide commercial support and challenge to the business to assist in delivering their strategic targets including the development of business opportunities that drive sustainable growth in the Residential Business in the Republic of Ireland, including the expansion of net zero and smart energy solutions.Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure success in delivering quality, value-adding service, and innovative low-carbon offerings.Support the day-to-day financial performance of the business areas, including proactive engagement to ensure growth, profitability, and alignment with strategic KPIs including decarbonisation goals.Support the development of the Integrated Business Planning process from a financial perspective, ensuring alignment with strategy, business plans, and the delivery of climate action objectives.Collaborate with Business Managers and Procurement to agree on financial solutions for all tender processes and contract extensions for the residential business.Help develop financial analytics to support data-driven decisions across the business.Support the maintenance of a robust governance and control framework that ensures compliance and transparency in the delivery of service to residential customers and climate-aligned business goals.Essential Experience and QualificationsA recognised professional accounting qualification with minimum 3 years PQE.A commercial mind set with effective analytical and interpersonal skillsAn ability to write clearly and concisely for business purposesDemonstrated experience in successfully managing a busy workload, including appropriate prioritisation of short term and long-term deliverablesHigh level of accounting competency and strong analytical skillsA pro-active, enthusiastic and commercially focused individual.Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across all levels of our organisation and with external stakeholdersDesirableA good knowledge of financial accounting and reporting systems SAP FMIS & BPC would be an advantageLocationThis position will be based in Swift Square, Santry.
