Provides technical process support to a project or function. This position’s primary function is to ensure that manufacturing processes run consistently and meet performance targets, minimize equipment downtime, and support the manufacturing business to maximize line yield and availability.
What you will do:
* Ensure all maintenance activities and documentation meet GMP standards.
* Engage in mechanical, electrical, electronic, and process troubleshooting, resolving hardware/software interfacing issues on the production floor in collaboration with facilities functions.
* Develop technical knowledge of next-generation equipment, working with the team to identify and resolve technical issues promptly.
* Liaise with support functions to enhance their knowledge of equipment and establish a system of continuous, shared learning.
* Diagnose malfunctioning systems to identify hazards, defects, and necessary adjustments or repairs.
* Investigate build failures and furnace failures causing scrap, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions across all equipment.
* Interface actively with cross-functional team members and third-party vendors, practicing good teamwork to support daily operations.
* Identify and assist in implementing technical improvements for the business.
* Repair and troubleshoot systems and processes, identifying root causes of failures and implementing permanent solutions.
* Coordinate preventive maintenance and calibration activities on assigned lines, processes, or areas.
* Provide process and maintenance improvements using data analysis and trending reports.
* Support new product introductions and transitions from other sites as required.
* Participate in cross-functional and cross-divisional process improvement initiatives.
* Assist with equipment procurement, installation, validation, FATs, and SATs, ensuring standardization where possible.
* Monitor weekly and monthly equipment uptime metrics, recording and addressing significant downtime.
* Collaborate with Production Team Leaders and Manufacturing Engineers on productivity, scrap, and efficiency issues.
* Ensure compliance with site and divisional maintenance procedures.
* Perform all other duties as required.
What you will need:
* Certificate/Diploma in Engineering or Trade qualification in electrical, mechanical, or related disciplines is desirable but not mandatory.
* Significant experience with Additive Manufacturing.
* Good knowledge of electronics and software control systems.
* At least 2 years of experience in a modern manufacturing environment, preferably with exposure to:
- Low/medium voltage electrical power systems
- Pneumatics
- PLCs
- Instrumentation
- Hydraulics
- Calibration
- AutoCAD
* Experience in the medical device industry is an advantage.
* Understanding of business operations and their impacts.
* High proficiency in PC skills.
* Flexibility and adaptability.
* Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
* Self-motivated with efficient work methods, analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Travel Percentage: 10%
