Project Engineer Pharma (Ireland & Europe-based) Location: Ireland (with travel as required) Industry: Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences Are you an experienced engineer with a strong background in pharmaceutical systems and project management? We are seeking a Project Engineer to join a dynamic and collaborative European Life Sciences team. This role offers the opportunity to manage complex engineering projects from concept through to completion, delivering high-quality solutions to pharmaceutical clients. Key Responsibilities: Design & Engineering: Lead the design of pure fluid utility systems to meet GMP, GAMP, ASME BPE, and client requirements. Develop P&ID drawings, Functional Design Specifications, and technical documentation. Drive cost-conscious, effective solutions through critical design analysis. Project Management: Manage end-to-end project delivery from proposal through to handover and service support. Monitor budgets, timelines, and scope while ensuring full client satisfaction. Coordinate procurement, installation, and commissioning activities. Attend client meetings, ensure compliance with project contracts, and prepare comprehensive handover documentation. Validation & Documentation: Prepare and manage validation protocols (IQ, OQ) and ensure full traceability. Produce high-quality O&M manuals and certification packages for client delivery. Ensure all system documentation is completed accurately and delivered on schedule. Client Liaison & Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. Represent the company professionally in all client interactions. Ensure clear and timely communication with internal departments and external stakeholders. AutoCAD / Technical Documentation: Create and manage technical drawings and system schematics. Ensure layouts support practical installation and maintenance access. Ideal Candidate Profile: Education & Experience: Degree-qualified in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in pure fluid systems and GMP-compliant environments. Knowledge of water treatment technologies such as RO, EDI, WFI, and clean steam generation. Experience managing multiple concurrent projects. Skills: Strong understanding of pharmaceutical engineering norms and validation protocols. Proficient in AutoCAD and project planning tools. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Cost-focused with a proactive attitude to continuous improvement.
