About The Role
Roadstone Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Environmental Officer to join our planning team. This key role will deliver a variety of projects within the extraction, manufacturing, energy, and waste fields of the Roadstone business. This role will report to the Director of Planning, Environment and property.
Key Responsibilities
* Management of a range of planning application projects for various developments including extraction, manufacturing, and waste developments
* Management of consultants involved in the preparation of planning applications, waste licences, trade discharge licences
* Reviewing and editing technical reports in relation to planning applications, EIAR, AA, waste licence applications, trade discharge applications
* Advising on planning compliance within the company
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies (Desirable)
* Environmental or related 3rd level qualification
* An ability to communicate at all levels to achieve the best outcome for the organisation
* Good report writing skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Self-motivated, and results oriented
* Trustworthy team player with the ability to work on own initiative
* Strong organisational and administrative skills
* Detail orientated with an ability to operate to strict timelines/deadlines
* Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
Requirements
* Experience in environmental planning, permitting and licensing is preferred
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
* Strong report writing and analytical skills
