EHS Manager | Pharmaceutical Manufacturing | Ireland
Morgan McKinley is delighted to be partnering with a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation to recruit an experienced EHS Manager.
This is a key leadership position responsible for driving Environmental, Health & Safety, Security and Sustainability initiatives across a regulated manufacturing site. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing a proactive safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the organisation's sustainability and ESG objectives.
The Opportunity
As EHS Manager, you will lead the site's EHS function and work closely with senior leadership to deliver best‑in‑class environmental, health and safety performance. You will have the opportunity to influence site‑wide culture, implement strategic initiatives, and contribute to continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and promote a positive EHS culture across the site
Drive compliance with Irish EHS legislation and company standards
Manage risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective actions
Lead contractor safety management programmes
Oversee environmental compliance, including waste management, water sampling and effluent treatment activities
Manage site EHS audits and inspections
Develop and deliver EHS training programmes
Lead site sustainability initiatives and support ESG reporting requirements
Manage EHS management systems and support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance
Chair EHS committees and support continuous improvement projects
Requirements
Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Environmental Health or related discipline
Minimum 5 years' EHS experience within a regulated manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of Irish EHS legislation and compliance requirements
Experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device or highly regulated manufacturing environments
Experience managing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification highly desirable
Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
