ATG are seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Precast Engineer to join a growing team in Ireland. This role involves leading the design, analysis, and implementation of precast concrete structural systems for a variety of projects.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of precast concrete technology, exceptional project management skills, and a proven track record in delivering large-scale structural projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the structural design and engineering of precast concrete elements, including beams, columns, slabs, and wall panels.
Perform detailed structural analysis and load calculations to ensure safety, stability, and compliance with Irish and European standards.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop and optimize precast concrete solutions tailored to project requirements.
Oversee the preparation of detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
Manage the production process by coordinating with manufacturing teams to ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency in the fabrication of precast elements.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams.
Ensure projects meet all relevant regulations, safety standards, and client expectations.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful and timely delivery of projects.
Review and approve designs, shop drawings, and structural calculations.
Liaise with clients to provide technical support, address concerns, and present design solutions.
Conduct site visits to monitor installation, address issues, and ensure compliance with design specifications.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a strong focus on precast concrete.
Proficiency in structural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, and other relevant BIM tools.
Comprehensive knowledge of Irish and European building codes and regulations.
Strong project management skills with experience leading large-scale structural projects.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision‑making abilities.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Chartered Engineer status is preferred.
