Job Overview:
The Health and Safety Manager role plays a vital part in ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation across the organization. This individual will be responsible for providing expert advice, assistance, and support to all levels of the network.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures
* Conduct regular audits, assessments, and inspections to ensure regulatory compliance
* Identify and mitigate potential operational risks or opportunities
* Support the development of measurement systems to monitor health and safety performance
* Liaise with employees, subcontractors, and suppliers on health and safety matters as required
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience working in a health and safety capacity in a complex environment, minimum 5 years, with 2-3 years in a senior leadership position
* Health and safety experience within healthcare
* Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH (CMIOSH), or equivalent
* Diploma and other relevant H&S qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field
* Masters/Postgraduate desired
