We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Children and Family Services team as a Homework Club Assistant.
The Role:
This exciting opportunity is available on a 40-week Fixed Term contract (14 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 2pm to 5.30pm) in the Croi na Gaillimhe Resource Center.
As a Homework Club Assistant, you will work closely with the Coordinator to develop a community-based homework club suitable for primary and secondary school children from Direct Provision Hostels.
This role requires collaboration with parents of children attending the homework club, aiming to create a supportive environment that fosters academic growth and social development.

Key Requirements:
* FETAC Level 5 in Childcare or related qualification is essential.
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar working environment is required.
* Experience of working with and supporting disadvantaged children is necessary.
* An understanding of afterschool/homework club settings, maths and Irish is crucial.
* Familiarity with the Primary School Curriculum and behaviour management techniques is essential.
Desirable skills include teaching or educational instruction, strong interpersonal skills, high-level administrative and organisational abilities, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
