Our client, a well-established global organization and market leader, is establishing their first European operation in the mid-west region. They have engaged us at Cpl to help recruit an experienced Financial Controller.

The Job:
Reporting directly to the newly hired EMEA CEO, the successful candidate will initially serve as a stand-alone FC, managing all accounting/finance duties for the new site and team, while liaising with the US-based finance team to support growth and development.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing financial strategies and projects, establishing financial controls, overseeing tax, audit, and compliance activities, managing monthly and annual closing processes, resolving financial and invoicing queries, managing budgets, supporting commercial decision-making, and eventually growing the finance team.
Your Skills/Experience:
* 5-6+ years experience in an FC/FM or senior-level accounting role.
* Fully qualified accountant, preferably with Big4 or similar training background.
* Experience in a start-up environment is advantageous but not essential.
* Experience in pharma, medical devices, or related sectors is a plus.
* Strong interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, and project leadership experience.
* Proficiency in IT and understanding of financial legislation.
The Offer:
This is a permanent role with a salary range based on experience, expected to be up to a competitive base salary, with significant potential for growth in salary and responsibilities. Benefits include pension, healthcare, a substantial annual bonus, and other perks, although some benefits may not yet be in place due to the start-up stage.
The role offers a hybrid working model with 2-3 days in the office and the remainder remote.
