Warehouse Manager
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse team. This role is based in a state-of-the-art Distribution centre, located in Little Island, Cork. Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strong leadership and direction to all team members, including support functions.
* Plan, organize, supervise, and participate in daily warehouse operations, including receipt, documentation, storage, safety, and distribution of equipment and supplies, as well as inventory management.
* Train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employees; assign workloads to warehouse workers.
* Assist the warehouse team in picking, loading, and unloading stock throughout the warehouse.
* Observe health and safety regulations; maintain the warehouse in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
* Ensure all administration functions required by the operation are completed correctly and on time, e.g., statutory records, timekeeping, time-in-lieu hours, accident reports, and disciplinary management administration.
* Organize workload for warehouse operatives and manage daily schedules for drivers.
* Responsible for returned stock, evaluating its condition, and determining whether it will be sold as new or moved to clearance.
* Resolve outstanding logistics issues in a timely manner.
* Maintain necessary records in accordance with RSA rules and regulations.
* Manage and develop direct reports to achieve business goals and objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous experience in leading a team in a warehouse environment.
* Proven IT skills, with a strong ability to manage stock control systems.
* Strong organizational and self-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks within a busy environment and meet specific timeframes.
* Excellent communication skills.
