McCloskey's Pub is a beloved local institution known for its warm, welcoming atmosphere, and a fantastic selection of craft beers, spirits, and cocktails. We're looking for a passionate and experienced Bar Manager to lead our team and help us continue to build on our reputation for excellence.
The Role:
As the Bar Manager, you will be the heart and soul of McCloskey's Pub. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our bar operations, ensuring our high standards are met and exceeded. This is a hands-on role that requires a blend of leadership, business acumen, and a genuine love for the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of bartenders and staff. Foster a positive and productive work environment.
* Operations Management: Oversee daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and ordering.
* Customer Experience: Ensure a high level of customer service is consistently delivered. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
* Inventory & Cost Control: Manage stock levels, conduct regular inventory checks, and implement strategies to minimize waste and control costs.
* Menu & Drink Development: Contribute to the development of our drink menu, including seasonal specials and signature cocktails.
* Compliance: Ensure all bar operations comply with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
* Marketing & Promotions: Assist with the planning and execution of promotional events, live music nights, and other special occasions.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Bar Manager or Assistant Bar Manager in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and classic cocktail recipes.
* Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
* A "can-do" attitude and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Experience with POS systems and inventory software is a plus.
* A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to providing an outstanding customer experience.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: €28,876.14-€50,523.93 per year
