Organisational Development Executive 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Hybrid) This government investment body are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Organisational Development Executive to join their HR & OD team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced OD or HR professional to contribute to a dynamic organisation undergoing significant transformation and capability-building initiatives.
About the Role The coming year will see the rollout of several key people-focused programmes, as these major projects progress, this role will be essential in ensuring the continued delivery of core organisational development activities maintaining high standards across employee engagement, learning and development, performance processes, HR communications, and talent initiatives such as the graduate and mentorship programmes.
Key Responsibilities Support the delivery of strategic HR & OD initiatives aligned with organisational goals.
Work collaboratively with the OD Manager and wider OD team to deliver change management programmes and HR/OD priorities.
Lead and support core OD activities, including: Employee engagement initiatives Learning and development programmes Annual performance management cycle Tuition aid processes Internal HR communications Mentorship programme coordination Graduate programme management Assist with developing new HR/OD policies and reviewing existing procedures.
Contribute to HR operations, including recruitment and selection activities, and provide feedback to staff and candidates when required.
Prepare and present HR briefs and documentation for senior internal stakeholders, up to board level.
Ensure organisational values, culture, and employee experience remain central to all OD activities.
Demonstrate flexibility and readiness to support additional tasks as needed.
Key Competencies Client-focused relationship building Negotiation and influencing Strong business understanding Excellent communication and personal effectiveness Networking and collaboration Project management capability Creativity and innovative thinking Requirements A minimum Level 8 qualification in HR, OD, or a related discipline.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and operate independently with sound judgement.
Strong understanding of modern organisational development and change management practices.
Knowledge of learning and development principles, including management and talent development.
Proven ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Flexibility to travel domestically, with occasional international travel.
Full driving licence required.
