Role: Carpenter
Reporting to: CBRE Operations Manager
Purpose Of Role
Provide a support service to the site as part of the CBRE team
Ensure all work requests are carried out in a Safe and Professional Manner
Ensure that all work is complaint to site, national and global Quality, Safety, Environmental and GMP requirements
Activities Within Role
* To respond to emergency breakdowns across the site where a Carpenter is required.
* To complete all minor site civil works, from building, walls, plastering, pothole/concrete repair, etc.
* To assist with other trades as necessary
* To complete all carpentry works on site, specifically door maintenance, and office furniture repairs
* To repair equipment, building fabric, etc. as quickly as possible.
* To carry out work generated on work requisition (non-urgent work jobs required by others on site) to meet service level agreements.
* To liaise and communicate as needed with end users to determine requirements.
* To order supplies as needed for work.
* To carry out routine planned maintenance tasks.
* Ensure documentation of maintenance activities to GMP are adhered to.
* To be flexible and assist the engineering team in any maintenance role.
* Assist in keeping building plant rooms clean and tidy
* Assist with the hosting of sub-contractors when necessary
* The post holder will follow safe systems of work, taking reasonable care of their own health and safety, and that of others. Eliminating or reducing risks where practicable by complying with site safety rules and instructions and reporting hazards to management for prompt action.
* Office Relocations
* Laboratory Equipment moves and assisting in setting-up the equipment
* Such other duties as required by the operational needs of the department.
* To carry out other maintenance roles such as furniture or equipment removal, snow or ice clearance works,
Job Experience
* Strong experience within the Pharmaceutical/Bio Industry
* Practical hands-on facilities experience
* 3+ Years working in a regulated environment as a carpenter
* Excellent understanding of general DIY/engineering activities
* Qualifications:
* FETAC Carpentry Qualification
