We are seeking a committed Reception Officer to support the daily operations of an IPAS Centre for individuals seeking international protection.
This role combines front office management, resident support, and administrative leadership—while also deputising for the Centre Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee reception operations (phone, email, in-person queries).
* Welcome and induct new residents; provide ongoing welfare support.
* Maintain accurate records and prepare daily operational reports.
* Ensure compliance with HIQA/IPAS standards and safeguarding policies.
* Respond to incidents and complaints professionally.
* Liaise with external services (healthcare, legal aid, social workers).
* Support community integration and resident wellbeing initiatives.
About You
* Level 7 Social Care degree, Social Science Degree or equivalent qualification required
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Knowledge of HIQA standards, IPAS operations, and safeguarding policies
* Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism
* Confident with administrative duties, reporting, and IT systems
* Experience working with diverse and vulnerable populations
