Job Title: Hotel Receptionist
Reporting To: Reception Manager
Responsibilities
* Undertake front of house duties, including meeting, greeting, and attending to the needs of guests to ensure a superb customer service experience.
* Carry out cash handling procedures in accordance with Company Policy.
* Receive guests by greeting them warmly, addressing inquiries, and answering inquiries over the phone.
* Inform guests of the hotel services and rates, make reservations according to their needs, and ensure immediate handling of cancelled bookings to avoid confusion.
* Keep clear and comprehensive records of guest room bookings and all billings for accountability and future reference.
* Maintain orderliness at the front desk and keep the area clean.
* Report maintenance issues and malfunctioning appliances to the relevant department for quick repair to ensure guest comfort and satisfaction.
* Assist in dealing with customer complaints in an effective and courteous manner, providing or sourcing solutions quickly.
* Undertake general office duties, including correspondence, emails, filing, and switchboard, to ensure the smooth running of the reception area.
* Stay up to date with room prices and special offers to provide accurate information to guests.
Skills / Requirements
* Minimum 1 year experience in a similar 3- or 4-star hotel is preferred.
* Working knowledge of HotSoft or similar hotel software is an advantage.
* Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
* A passion for customer service and the ability to multitask with strong crisis management skills.
* Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills, with good IT and telephone skills.
