Job Summary : The Automation engineer will work as part of the wider project Automation group assisting Commissioning and Qualification team on the Production floor.
Key Responsibilities
Support C&Q team in the shakedown of Equipment Modules, Phase Classes and Recipes on a day-to-day basis
Trouble-shoot issues as they arise in the field – determine immediate work arounds where appropriate
Propose solutions and prepare Automation Change Packs to remedy issues
Execute/Test & Download software changes as part of Automation Change Packs
Qualifications & Experience
Qualification in Engineering, Science or a related field
'Hands-on' experience of Emerson Delta V DCS system is essential
'Hands-on' experience of Emerson Delta V 'Control Studio' and 'Recipe Studio' essential
'Hands-on' experience of Emerson Delta V CHARMs I/O an advantage
'Hands-on' experience of Emerson Delta V Live graphics an advantage
Formal Emerson training courses (7009, 7016 etc.) an advantage
Experience of Kneat electronic documentation system and advantage
5+ years' experience with at least 3 year in a GMP environment, preferably Pharma/Biopharma
Some experience of at least one of the following process areas – Media Prep/Hold, Buffer Prep/Hold, Cell Culture, Harvest, Purification, Utilities/CIP
Ability to work as part of a wider team
