Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the Senior Procurement & Contracts Manager will take ownership of major tender projects - including those supporting an ongoing transformation programme - while ensuring full compliance with Irish and EU procurement regulations. You will play a key role in shaping procurement strategy, leading supplier management, and supporting colleagues across multiple business areas.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end procurement process from planning through tendering to contract execution.
* Ensure compliance with EU and Irish public procurement legislation and internal policies.
* Drive continuous improvement, value for money, and cost reduction across procurement activities.
* Manage the organisation’s central contracts database.
* Produce regular reports on procurement performance, compliance, and savings.
* Oversee Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) with key strategic partners to enhance collaboration and performance.
* Support and mentor other procurement team members while collaborating cross-functionally with internal stakeholders.
Experience
* Minimum Level 8 Degree in Procurement, Business, or a related field.
* 10+ years’ experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in public sector procurement management.
* Proven track record managing complex tenders, frameworks, and service/supply contracts.
* Strong commercial acumen and experience drafting and negotiating contracts.
* Familiarity with procurement and contract management systems.
Skills
* In-depth knowledge of Irish and EU Public Procurement legislation.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and documentation skills.
