Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
UPMC - Sports Surgery Clinic are looking to hire a Relief Staff Nurse on Inpatient Ward. Candidates must have experience in a hospital environment, ideally on a surgical ward, a relevant nursing qualification, and be registered with An Bord Altranais on the General Division of the live register and eligible to work in Ireland.
The successful candidate will be placed on a panel and offered shifts according to needs of the department. This would suit an applicant looking for a flexible working arrangement.
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience:
Applicants should have at least 3 years previous surgical ward experience in a hospital environment
Previous orthopaedic experience desirable but not necessary
Have excellent interpersonal skills and proven written and verbal communication abilities.
Have the ability to work on own initiative, prioritise and manage a number of issues simultaneously and demonstrate attention to detail.
Be able to identify potential difficulties and formulate solutions.
Be computer literate.
Be of good character.
