Position: Equity Analyst – Family Office, Dublin
A leading family office based in Dublin is seeking an Equity Analyst to help manage its portfolio of direct equity investments in listed securities. This is a unique opportunity to step into a principal or buy-side investment role, joining a small, collaborative, and fast-growing team with a flat organizational structure.
About the Role:
This position involves working closely with key stakeholders to identify and assess investment opportunities that align with the family office's objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough research and analysis of potential direct equity investments, assessing their risk/reward profile, and providing informed opinions on existing and potential investments.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Conduct Research and Analysis: Conduct detailed research and analysis of potential direct equity investments, including reviewing financial statements, market trends, and company performance.
2. Evaluate Investment Opportunities: Assess the risk/reward profile of investment opportunities, considering factors such as growth potential, financial health, and industry trends.
3. Collect and Process Data: Collect and process key financial and market data, utilizing Bloomberg terminals and other market research tools.
4. Develop Valuations: Develop valuations based on different scenarios (bear, base, and bull cases) to inform investment decisions.
5. Build Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including CEOs, CFOs, analysts, and brokers.
6. Monitor Investments: Monitor and review ongoing information related to investments, staying up-to-date with market developments and company news.
7. Support Due Diligence: Assist with legal due diligence for specific equity investments, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
1. Passion for Financial Markets: Strong passion for financial markets and equity investments, with a solid understanding of market trends and company performance.
2. Relevant Background: Background in one or more of the following areas: Equity Research, Corporate Finance, Equity Sales & Trading, Private Wealth Management, or Family Office Investing.
3. Technical Skills: Strong technical skills in financial analysis and valuation, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling software.
4. Self-Motivated: Self-driven, motivated, and capable of working independently with a strong work ethic.
