Property Accountant
A seasoned and detail-oriented professional is required to manage the financial aspects of property investments. This key role focuses on overseeing capital project expenditures, ensuring accurate and reliable financial reporting.
Responsibilities
* Partner with the Controller to oversee capital project expenditures and ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting.
* Collaborate with the procurement team to analyze and evaluate project costs.
* Track investment progress, monitor budgets, manage expenditure timelines, and highlight any financial risks or discrepancies.
* Assist in the preparation and oversight of maintenance budgets, while keeping track of open commitments and actual spend.
Additional Responsibilities
* Coordinate with the general ledger team to maintain and verify the fixed asset register, and manage asset disposals.
* Help develop and update Standard Operating Procedures to align with relevant regulations and compliance standards.
* Assist with both internal and external audits, ensuring all financial compliance requirements are met.
* Provide support for investment-related committees, including preparing agendas, recording minutes, organizing documentation, and following up on action items.
Requirements
* A fully qualified accountant with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in financial evaluation and investment analysis.
* A solid financial background, particularly in capital projects, including accounting, forecasting, and reporting.
