Production Floor ManagerExcellent opportunity for a Production Floor Manager to join a thriving company in Co. Roscommon.Our Client are looking for an experienced and capable leader to take full responsibility for our factory floor operations — from machining and assembly through to final dispatch of their production process.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, manage, coordinate machining and wood finishing with assembly production operations to meet delivery, quality, and cost targets, ensure machine shop runs at maximum outputDevelop and execute production schedules, resource planning ensuring resources are optimised.Implement and monitor quality controlApply principles to reduce waste and improve flow & Introduce more efficient assembly methodsMonitor and analyse performance metrics (eg scrap, downtime) to identify improvement opportunities.Lead floor layout planning to maximise productivity, including workflow optimisation and SOP development.Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standardsLead, coach, delegate and develop teams & conduct performance reviewsManage HR within team including recruitment, training, attendance, disciplinary matters, and policy complianceFoster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and problem solving.Implement solutions to improve productivity, reduce cost, and enhance process capability.Oversee CNC programming, tooling strategy and optimisation.Ensure warehousing and dispatch systems run efficiently, accurately, and cost-effectively.Manage any necessary reworks through manufacturing and assemblyCollaborate with the Fitting Supervisor to minimise rework volume and improve fitting experienceKey Requirements:Experience managing a joinery, furniture or kitchen production floorStrong team management and delegation skillsProven experience applying lean principles or similar improvement frameworksPractical understanding of kitchen manufacture and fitting processesConfident in planning, people management, and cross-team coordinationFamiliarity with CNCs, edge banders, and spray systems an advantageExperience of lean manufacturing desirableComfortable using systems, emails and basic reporting tools
