Overview
A Financial Accountant is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our multinational client based in North Dublin. You will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring the general accounting of the French entities of the Group, from accounting entries made according to USGAAP standards to the filing of annual accounts according to French GAAP standards. You will support the Accounting Manager in specific projects and missions and supervise the accounting team in their absence. Hybrid opportunity.
Responsibilities
* Record manual entries in the ERP (Oracle) on a monthly basis and before the 2nd working day of the following month.
* Analyze monthly transactions and balances of French entities according to USGAAP standards.
* Participate in monthly closings according to USGAAP through entries, analyses, and reporting.
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts in the reconciliation tool (ARCS) according to the group schedule.
* File declarations and pay taxes according to legal and fiscal obligations.
* Perform annual accounting closing operations and accounting closing in French standards.
* Respond to requests during internal, external, and statutory audits.
* Prepare and validate the tax package and legal file for general meetings.
* Replace the Accounting Manager during absences or unavailability.
* Support and/or lead project management for improvements (Lean methodology).
* Supervise and assist team members in support of the Accounting Manager.
* Translate USGAAP balances into French standards and reconcile differences.
* Calculate and reconcile deferred taxes and manage temporary differences between USGAAP and French books.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Holder of a BAC+5 type DSCG, with significant experience of 5 to 10 years.
* Fluent French and English; advanced in Excel with functions such as SUMIF, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP.
* In-depth knowledge of dual-book accounting principles (USGAAP and French standards) and deferred taxes.
* Experience with ORACLE is a plus.
* Rigorous with strong time management and prioritization skills to meet strict deadlines.
* Discretion and respect for confidentiality; good observation and process optimization abilities.
Interactions
* Daily interaction with the accounting team and management controllers.
* Communication with accounting services from other countries (Ireland, India, Italy) in English.
* Occasional interaction with SOX auditors, tax authorities, and statutory auditors.
