Company Overview: At Corrib Oil, we are committed to continuous growth and excellence. As part of this commitment, we are expanding our Finance team and are seeking a motivated Accounts Assistant to join us at our Galway office.
Role Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual with strong organisational and communication skills to support our Finance Partner on site in Parkmore, Galway. This role will involve various aspects of accounting and book‑keeping, with responsibilities that contribute to the smooth operation of our finance function. Experience in the retail sector is preferred but not required as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Match delivery dockets with purchase invoices and upload them to the accounting system
Investigate and resolve supplier queries efficiently
Process supplier payments and payment allocations
Handle employee expenses, credit card expenses, and other relevant expense claims
Maintain and reconcile bank accounts
Compile weekly financial reports
Assist in preparing monthly reports and accounts
Perform additional administrative and accounts‑related tasks as required.
Key Qualifications & Skills
Experience in accounts payable and administration
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Windows
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
Effective interpersonal and communication abilities
Eagerness to learn and meet deadlines
Ability to work collaboratively within a team

Accounts: 2 years (preferred)
